Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has congratulated Nigeria's First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday.
Alia described her as a compassionate woman committed to humanitarian service.
He commended her work on the Renewed Hope Initiative, which supports women, youths, widows, orphans, senior citizens and other vulnerable people.
The governor praised her economic empowerment efforts, especially supporting petty traders and small-scale entrepreneurs.
This has created opportunities for Nigerians to improve their livelihoods and support their families.
Alia also acknowledged her healthcare and education work.
She's organized medical outreaches, helped communities affected by violence, advocated for maternal health, promoted HPV vaccination and pushed menstrual hygiene initiatives for schoolgirls.
He specifically thanked the First Lady for helping Benue communities hurt by armed herdsmen attacks.
He said her work keeping girls in school and expanding opportunities for young people shows commitment to developing the country's human capital.
Alia prayed for God's continued guidance and blessings for her, wishing her many more years of good health, wisdom, strength and service to the nation.
