JAMB has fired one of its staff members for extorting candidates.
The Board announced the action on Monday as part of its effort to clean up the admission and examination system.
The unnamed staff member was using their position to exploit unsuspecting candidates.
JAMB said this shows it's not just going after fraudsters outside the organization but also dealing with bad eggs within.
The Board warned all employees to stop any misconduct.
Any staff member found exploiting candidates or undermining JAMB's integrity will face severe consequences.
JAMB's zero-tolerance policy on corruption applies to everyone, regardless of rank or position.
The Board will not protect staff members who abuse their positions or betray the trust candidates and the public place in them.
This action sends a clear message that JAMB is serious about maintaining a clean, accountable and professional workforce.
Fighting fraud and misconduct has to start from within if the organization's integrity is to be preserved, JAMB said.
