Rabiu Kwankwaso says Nigerians could see a major change in how fuel prices are handled if his party takes power in 2027.

The NDC's vice presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso says the party will bring back fuel subsidy if it wins the January 2027 election.
Kwankwaso told an online interview, that President Tinubu's decision to remove subsidy on his first day was a mistake that has caused economic chaos in Nigeria.
The former Kano governor said there are several ways to reintroduce subsidy without going back to the old system.
The NDC plans to build more refineries and implement measures to reduce fuel prices across the country.
"We're bringing back fuel subsidy in our own way.
There are many ways to do that.
A businessman has built a refinery and I'm sure more will be built.
If individuals can build refineries, I see no reason why government won't," he said.
The NDC will do whatever it takes to put oil prices down.
