Police in Lagos have arrested a 36-year-old man suspected of being involved in cult activities in the Ikorodu area.

Police in Lagos State arrested a 36-year-old man named Muyideen Olatunbosun who is suspected to be a cultist.
The arrest happened on Tuesday during patrols in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Police found the man while conducting intelligence patrols in areas called Idi-Iroko, Ogolonto and Agric.
They had received information that led them to search these areas.
When police arrested Olatunbosun, they searched him and found several dangerous items.
They recovered a rubber-made pistol, which is a fake gun made from rubber.
They also found an axe, criminal charms and an illegal drug called Ice.
Police said the suspect is now in custody helping with investigations.
They are also looking for other members of the cult group that Olatunbosun belongs to.
The Police Commissioner of Lagos State, CP Tijani Fatai, praised the officers for doing their jobs well and responding quickly to the information they received.
He said the police will continue to use smart policing methods to fight cultism and other crimes in Lagos State.
The Commissioner asked members of the public to continue telling the police about criminal activities in their areas.
He said people should call the police emergency lines if they see anything suspicious or dangerous happening around them.
Police said they are still working to arrest the other cult members connected to Olatunbosun.
