U.S. President Donald Trump says America should consider keeping more diesel at home instead of sending it to other countries.

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that America should stop sending diesel fuel to other countries.
He said this could help lower the price of gasoline for people in America.
Trump made this statement while meeting with the President of Ukraine.
He said America makes a lot of diesel and keeping it at home instead of selling it to other countries could help make regular car fuel cheaper.
The person in charge of America's money and finances, Scott Bessent, said the government is looking at whether stopping diesel exports is possible.
He said they are checking whether America has enough refineries to make all the diesel the country needs if they stop exporting it.
He said they are also thinking about whether they should stop all diesel exports or just some of them.
A top Republican senator said last week that he would be open to stopping diesel exports if it would help bring fuel prices down.
Fuel prices have gotten very expensive since a war between America and Iran started in late February.
High fuel prices are making Americans unhappy.
The Republicans are worried that people will vote them out of office in the election in November because of high prices.
