A waste truck driver was injured early Wednesday after a mini bus crashed into his vehicle while workers were collecting rubbish along the road.

A driver of a waste compactor truck got hurt on Wednesday early morning in Lagos after a Ford mini bus rammed into his vehicle.
The accident happened at Abule Egun area heading toward Baruwa.
The waste truck was parked by the side of the road while the workers were loading garbage when the mini bus came and crashed into it.
The collision injured the truck driver and he was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Lagos traffic agency announced the accident on social media at 7:25am on Wednesday.
They said the truck driver had been taken to the nearest hospital.
The traffic officers went to the scene to help manage the traffic.
Because of the accident, traffic built up and extended from the area all the way to Baruwa and beyond.
