The Defence Minister has shared a strong view on military training and why he believes it could change how Nigerians see life.

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, said that every Nigerian citizen should experience military training.
He said this training would give people a different way of thinking about life.
Musa said that going through military training teaches people what it feels like to be hungry, tired and uncomfortable.
He said this experience would help Nigerians understand what soldiers go through every day.
He said soldiers work to protect the country even when they are hungry, tired and have not slept.
The former head of the military said military training teaches people about endurance.
He said it teaches what it means to keep moving and keep working even when your body is tired and your stomach is empty.
He said soldiers do all of this to protect the country.
He compared soldiers to what the Bible says about friendship.
He said soldiers are like friends who will give their lives for their country.
He said soldiers put their lives in danger every day to keep Nigeria safe.
The Defence Minister said it is sad when people do not appreciate what soldiers do for the country.
He said some people say they do not want the military or that soldiers are not needed.
But he said soldiers are dying to protect people.
He said people should be grateful for what soldiers do instead of criticizing them.
