Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio's office of trying to spread harmful material against her following a video from a social media activist.
The Kogi Central lawmaker made the claim in a post on social media where she shared what she said was an online chat with a link to a video and a message looking for newspapers and blogs that could publish the content.
The message in the screenshot allegedly asked which national dailies and blogs could run it and wanted to know the cost.
Reacting, Natasha said Akpabio's office was trying to use media platforms to attack her and warned that such moves would backfire on them.
She told Akpabio that what he digs for her, he will fall into himself.
The senator did not give details about who sent the alleged WhatsApp message or say independently whether someone from Akpabio's office started the talk.
The move comes amid a long political fight between Natasha and Akpabio that started in 2025 over where she would sit in the Senate chamber.
The disagreement got worse when Natasha said Akpabio had t@rrassed her and punished her for speaking out.
Akpabio denied the claims.
The Senate later suspended Natasha, saying she broke legislative rules, a decision that caused strong public reaction.
