Veteran actor Pete Edochie has paid tribute to his longtime colleague Olu Jacobs, who died at 84.

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has paid tribute to late colleague Olu Jacobs, mourning his passing.
Edochie spoke in an emotional video, saying Olu Jacobs was a peaceful and funny person who fought hard.
He commiserated with Joke Silva, Olu's wife, for enduring the hardship of his prolonged illness over six years.
Edochie said Olu fought like a man and like the soldier he had always known him to be and asked him to rest in peace.
He said while they must mourn Olu's d£ath, they should also celebrate his life.
Of all their senior colleagues who have gone, Olu was the only one who lived to 80 and beyond.
The Bible allows 70 years and Olu earned 14 years more than that, Edochie said.
Edochie noted that the final six years of Jacobs' life had not been what they expected.
He recalled words Olu had told his wife and urged Silva to hold onto them as she moves forward after his d£ath.
He said if God says it is time, then it is time.
His one prayer is that one of Olu's children becomes an actor so that whenever they see him, they remember what Olu meant to all of them.
Edochie told Joke to remember Olu's words that her problems are firmly behind her and asked her to take care.
He said if it is true that people recognize each other after they have gone, then there is a chance they will meet again.
Olu Jacobs p@ssed away on September 16 at age 84.
