Police in Oyo State have launched a full investigation following a disturbing event involving a young child in Saki.

Oyo State police have arrested a 17-year-old boy, Usman Dauda, for allegedly d£fil!ng a three-year-old girl in Saki.
The arrest came after the child went missing on September 17 while being picked up from school and was later found distressed along a roadside.
Police said a report reached Saki Divisional Station around 6 pm that afternoon.
Officers conducted a localised search and found the toddler in distress.
Preliminary questioning revealed the suspect had forcibly taken her into his apartment to commit the act.
Detectives moved quickly to secure the scene and arrested Dauda immediately, recovering physical evidence connected to the offence.
The child was taken to a medical facility in Saki where she is receiving clinical treatment and psychological support.
The Oyo police command stressed it maintains a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and s3xual violence.
The case has been transferred to the Gender Desk at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ibadan for full investigation and prosecution.
Police said the identity and privacy of the survivor and her family will be protected throughout proceedings, in line with the Child Rights Act and protection guidelines.
The command urged residents to remain alert and report any violence against children or vulnerable persons to the nearest police station.
