Actress Rita Edochie has sparked reactions with strong comments about APC supporters and the 2027 election.

Actress Rita Edochie has turned on APC supporters, accusing them of caring only about filling their pockets while the country suffers.
Writing on social media, she questioned why anyone would back the ruling party unless personal gain was the motivation.
"If you are supporting APC, it means you are just after your pockets not for the betterment of our country Nigeria," she posted.
Edochie threw her weight behind Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 election, framing the choice as one between self-interest and genuine leadership.
She called on Nigerians to reject the tactics that have defined recent elections: vote buying, political thuggery and intimidation designed to rob voters of their choice.
"Say no to vote buying, say no to political thuggery, say no to grabbing, snatching and running with the people's mandate," she wrote.
Her message centred on backing what she called true capacity in leadership, using her platform to push for the NDC's presidential ticket over the incumbent.
“If you are supporting APC, it means you are just after your pockets and not the betterment of our country, Nigeria. The Peter Obi and Kwankwaso ticket is the only hope for common Nigerians.”
