Police in Delta State have detained the state Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu, and other suspects over the death of a senior education ministry official, Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda.

Delta State Police say they have taken the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu, and three other suspects into custody over the death of Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda, a Deputy Director in the state Ministry of Secondary Education.
This brings the number of people held in the case to five.
Police spokesman SP Bright Edafe made this known in a statement on Monday night.
He said the command has also stepped up efforts to find two people it calls key suspects.
They are Mrs Clemetine Ufuoma, Director of Basic and Secondary Education, and Clement Apia, driver to the Commissioner.
Police say their presence is needed to help the investigation and asked both to come forward without delay.
Police Commissioner Samuel Erale promised that the probe will be thorough, fair and professional and that anyone found guilty will face justice.
He assured the family of the late Adeda and the public that due process will be followed, and the command sent its condolences to the family.
The arrests come as public attention on Adeda's death grows, with many people calling for justice and a clear investigation into what happened.
