Pastor Jerry Eze has apologised to worshippers who travelled from different parts of the world but could not enter the NSPPD prayer conference at Manchester United’s Old Trafford.

Pastor Jerry Eze has said sorry to worshippers who were sent back from the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference held at Manchester United's 74,000-capacity Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, United Kingdom.
The event was organised by his church, Streams of Joy International, and drew worshippers from across Britain and other parts of the world.
Entry was free, but people were asked to register early because space was limited.
Demand reportedly went beyond the number of available places.
In a video message on Monday, Eze apologised to those who travelled long distances but could not get in.
He said some came from as far as Australia, North Macedonia and Sweden.
He began by saying he wanted to apologise from the bottom of his heart to the tens of thousands of people who were turned back.
He said he felt terrible when he learnt that thousands were still asked to leave even after travelling from different corners of the world for the prayer meeting.
Eze however said the situation was out of his hands and out of the hands of Streams of Joy, though he acknowledged the disappointment that affected attendees shared online.
He said the organisers had taken note and promised it would not happen again.
He said he could see the pain of those posting and talking about it, and he asked them to forgive him and his team.
The pastor said sorry over and over to those who could not enter the stadium and added that he had been troubled since he heard how many people were turned away.
He also assured worshippers that lessons would be learnt before next year gathering.
He said if the church had known it would happen, it would have done everything possible to prevent it, and that they do not take it lightly.
He promised that next year people would look back and see that the organisers really paid attention.
The conference took place last Saturday and featured Eze alongside gospel ministers Sunmisola Agbebi, Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan and Kaestrings.
Eze ended his apology by saying sorry again and again for the tens of thousands who were sent back, adding that it was all he could say.
