Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has revealed that he began casting out demons when he was around 17 or 18 years old.

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has spoken about his early involvement in spiritual matters, claiming he started casting out demons when he was around 17 years old.
He made the remarks during a church service at The Votage Church, where he looked back on his youth and his experiences with what he called spiritual battles and cultism.
Speaking to the young worshippers, he said seeing them in church reminded him of his own teenage years.
He said that at 17 or 18 he had already begun casting out demons.
According to him, those early experiences gave him a personal understanding of some of the problems young people face today, especially insecurity and cult-related activities.
He said fighting insecurity, especially cultism, is nothing new to him because it has been going on for a long time.
The governor also talked about how the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa shaped his spiritual background.
The lead pastor of the church said the visit was a chance to show appreciation for the governor commitment to the people and to pray for the progress of Edo State.
He stressed that leaders should seek spiritual guidance and urged continued efforts for peace and development across the state.
In a statement after the service, the church said it was honoured to host Governor Okpebholo and that prayers were offered for the peace, progress and prosperity of Edo State.
