Dino Melaye Questions NELFUND Over N20,000 Student Allowance

Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has accused the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) under President Bola Tinubu’s administration of harboring corruption.

Melaye questioned the adequacy of the scheme's N20,000 monthly upkeep allowance.

He challenged the government's claim of covering students' tuition through the initiative, pointing out that N20,000 is far too low to cover annual fees at any public tertiary institution.

His comments have intensified the ongoing debate regarding whether the student loan program provides sufficient relief to families facing rising education costs.

NELFUND is a haven of corruption. They are only giving students N20,000 each. Which government school takes N20,000 as annual school fees? Why is Tinubu claiming he's paying students' school fees when he's giving them only N20,000?
