American model Amber Rose shared that she no longer considers herself a feminist, explaining that her views evolved after becoming a mother to boys and growing older.
Although she maintained that she still supports "girl power," she explained that her perspective on the relationship between men and women changed as she realized how much both genders need each other.
"I think sometimes you have to either become a mom.
We really need you guys for a lot of things," she said, admitting that in her younger years, she did not fully grasp how much women rely on men for tasks such as having children, heavy physical labor, and other demanding roles.
Addressing her fan base, Rose acknowledged that some of her female followers are unhappy with her new outlook.
"I feel like a lot of my girl fans, they’re, like, low-key mad at me that I’m not a feminist anymore," she noted.
However, she defended her stance by emphasizing that men and women naturally fulfill different roles and can rely on each other.
Illustrating her point with an example of boarding a yacht, she highlighted the physical support and security a man provides: "Even just getting on the yacht. Like, that safety net of a man, like making sure that I get on.
I wouldn’t want a woman to help me, because I’m like, girl, we both gonna fall."
