Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has fired another aide from his office, making it the second aide he has removed recently.

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has removed Rashida Adamu, known as Rashida Mai Sa'a, from her job as Special Assistant in his office.
His media aide, Shitu Madaki Kunchi, announced this in a statement on Monday, September 28, 2026.
It said she was sacked over claims that she made remarks that could stir up supporters, took part in moves said to weaken the APC, and spoke badly about the senator.
The move came after the office put out a message on Sunday, September 27, saying some people were trying to hurt Barau's political standing in Kano State and within the APC.
It added that some of them had earlier gained from jobs and other help from the senator but later turned against him and the party.
Daily Trust earlier reported that Barau also removed another aide, Umar Alhassan, known as King Indara, after a controversial social media post aimed at Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
