President Bola Tinubu is back in Nigeria after spending four weeks in Europe.

President Bola Tinubu has come back to Nigeria after a four week working vacation in Europe.
His jet landed at the presidential wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos at about 6:22pm on Tuesday, flying in from Paris.
Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Jubril Barau and APC Lagos governorship candidate Dr Obafemi Hamzat were there to welcome him.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu chose Lagos first to honour Chief MKO Abiola, winner of the June 1993 election.
On Independence Day, the President will attend the premiere of a movie about Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.
He will also hold meetings with political leaders and allies over several days to prepare for the 2027 elections, then return to Abuja.
Tinubu left Abuja on August 30, 2026.
He spent one week in London before moving to Paris, where he had a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and met business leaders including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group.
On Monday he also met First Holdings Chairman Femi Otedola.
Last week he watched the signing of an agreement between the Ogun State Government and DP World to build a deep seaport in Ogun Waterside and a Blue Marine Economic Zone.
DP World plans to invest 7 billion dollars in the project.
