The naira is still holding steady against the dollar, with only a small difference between the official market and the street market.

The naira showed relative stability against the U.S. dollar in both the official and parallel markets as trading began in the middle of the week.
At the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, the official rate hovered between 1,324 and 1,330 naira per dollar.
This follows small gains earlier in the week and shows continued effort by the Central Bank of Nigeria to reduce volatility in official deals.
In the parallel market, which is often used by retail traders, travellers and small importers, the dollar was bought at about 1,375 naira and sold at about 1,385 naira by Bureau De Change operators.
Analysts say the small gap between the official and parallel rates points to better dollar liquidity.
Market watchers are still keeping an eye on capital inflows, oil export earnings and seasonal demand as the key factors that could move the naira in the final stretch of the third quarter.
