Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker Richard Mofe-Damijo, known as RMD, has urged Nigerians to go beyond criticising the country's problems and take part in finding solutions.
He spoke at the 2026 Pivot Nigeria Conference in Lagos.
He agreed that the country faces many challenges but said pointing out problems should come with efforts to solve them.
He also asked Nigerians to demand more accountability from political leaders, saying elected officials must answer for the people they represent.
He said Nigerians do not hold leaders accountable enough and must make sure those in public office know they answer to the people.
RMD also reminded citizens that how they behave shapes Nigeria's image, especially when they travel or deal with people from other countries.
He said each person is an ambassador not just for themselves, their parents or their school, but for the whole country.
He described Nigeria as a work in progress and called for patience, responsibility and steady effort from both citizens and leaders to move the nation forward.
