The Arewa Consultative Forum has called on President Tinubu’s government to be more honest about the country’s economic problems.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Baba Mohammed Tukur, has advised the Tinubu administration to stop promising Nigerians things it cannot deliver.
He spoke on Thursday and said the government should admit that things are not going as planned.
Tukur said the economy is working like voodoo.
He gave the example of a farmer who spends N50,000 on preparing the land and farming, then sells the produce in the market for just N40,000.
He asked what kind of economy that is.
He said what he wants to see from the government is an open admission that things are not going as intended, or that the work was not done well, followed by clear results.
He said perfection can never be reached, so the government should be modest and tell Nigerians what it can do within a few months.
According to him, nobody expects it to reinvent the wheel, only to show how the spokes fit into the wheel.
