Former Actors Guild of Nigeria President Emeka Rollas has apologised to actress Regina Daniels, her mother Rita Daniels, Senator Ned Nwoko and several Nollywood colleagues over comments he made during the actress's marital crisis last year.
He shared his statement online, on Thursday.
In November 2025, Rollas had spoken publicly about the troubles between Regina and Nwoko, saying the actress needed help and calling out some senior actors who he said saw incidents involving her.
He also criticised Rita Daniels over her role in the AGN leadership race and spoke on issues around Nwoko, who was then chairman of the guild's Board of Patrons.
Now, Rollas says he regrets speaking while the Daniels family was going through a hard time.
He said being right about an issue does not always mean you handled it the right way.
He added that a recent chance meeting with Rita Daniels, where some people tried to make peace between them, made him reflect more.
He apologised to Rita Daniels and her family, Nwoko and his family, Regina, the AGN Board of Trustees and colleagues including Okey Bakassi, Charles Inojie, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, Sanni Danji, Agility and Nazareth Jesse.
He said he is not asking for the apology to be accepted, and that it is up to them to forgive him.
Rollas said he may still hold his views on some of the issues he raised, but he takes responsibility for his actions and timing.
He said he wants to move forward in peace, and that real leadership also takes the humility to admit when you could have waited longer or chosen a better way.
