A 55-year-old driver had a close call at the PWD railway crossing in Lagos when a train crashed into his Honda car.
He was not hurt, but the car was badly damaged.
The train was heading toward Agege.
Officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, and security men rushed to the scene.
They pulled the driver out and moved the wrecked car off the tracks so the train could carry on.
Traffic stayed jammed around PWD for a while after that.
The damaged car has been handed to security men, who will look into how the crash happened.
LASTMA General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki praised the teams for acting fast.
He warned drivers to be careful near railway crossings and never try to cross the tracks when a train is coming.
He said one reckless move could lead to a disaster.
The agency also reminded road users that keeping people safe should always come first.
