SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has criticised the federal government over its plan to cut the price of petrol sold by NNPC for the next 30 days.

Speaking in an online interview on Thursday, Adebayo said the Tinubu administration looks lost.

He said the discount creates problems.

It affects the NNPC books, since the company is supposed to buy and sell fuel at cost.

Adebayo asked who decides what that cost is.

If it keeps rising, he warned, petrol could hit N2000 and even N5000 by next year if nothing changes.
