Police in Oyo State have arrested an Indian national and two security operatives over the alleged assault of two truck drivers at Karma Agric Feeds and Foods Limited, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ibadan.

The arrests followed a viral video of the attack.

The suspects are Olowu Oluwadamilare and Sodeke Olamide, both security operatives at the company, and Harjit Singh, a 46 year old Indian national linked to the firm.

Police Commissioner Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga ordered detectives to find and arrest those involved.

Police say the fight started over where a truck was parked after it delivered goods on Saturday.

The truck owner, Akinpelu Sarafa, says the driver objected to the spot because it could damage the tyres.

He was made to park there anyway, and a tyre burst.

When the driver asked for a replacement and the company refused, he blocked the company's entrance with the truck.

A physical fight followed.

The victims, Ridwan Olajide, 34, and Taiwo Yinusa, 37, are being treated at a hospital in the Academy area of Ibadan.

The investigating officer has taken their statements.

The case has been moved to the Special Enquiry Bureau in Eleyele, Ibadan.

Police say they are still working out each person's role and who is to blame.

They asked the public to stay calm while the investigation continues.
