Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has criticised INEC's plan to use artificial intelligence in collating results for the 2027 general elections.

In a video posted online, she said the electoral body has no business using AI for the vote.

She said companies are still dealing with the fallout from the Corporate Affairs Commission's experiments with AI.

She also urged Nigerians to vote for leaders who are not afraid of accountability, transparency and scrutiny.

She said answers on governance depend on who gets elected.

Yesufu is a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
