The Corporate Affairs Commission has set December 1, 2026, as the deadline for insolvency practitioners to renew and re-register their accreditation.

Practitioners who miss the deadline risk automatic suspension.

They would not be able to take on new insolvency cases or keep handling current ones.

Accreditation lasts three years and must be renewed when it expires.

The CAC also wants all accredited practitioners, including those whose accreditation is still valid, to re-register.

The reason given is to update identity records and support its online systems, in line with the NIMC Act, 2026.

Practitioners who complete the process will receive new certificates with added security features.

All applications must be made online through the CAC insolvency portal.
