Education Minister Tunji Alausa says President Bola Tinubu has delivered 90 percent of his campaign promises and should be given another four years to build on that record.
He spoke at the unveiling of a new agreement for non-academic staff in tertiary institutions.
He accused opposition figures of spreading false claims about the government's performance.
He said the President's backing helped the government reach deals with academic and non-academic unions after years of disputes that kept disrupting school calendars.
Alausa said the Federal Government will honour the agreements, but their success depends on proper implementation by agencies, governing councils and school management.
He urged union leaders to raise complaints through official channels rather than threaten strikes in the media.
"You have a President who has your back," he said.
The government plans to merge the existing ASUU implementation committee into one committee that will monitor agreements with all academic and non-academic unions.
It also intends to make that committee permanent.
The agreement will be renegotiated every three years.
Alausa asked unions to make demands that fit the country's finances.
He said industrial peace will let institutions plan properly and let students study without constant strikes.
He thanked Alhaji Yahaya Ahmed, chair of the expanded negotiating committee, and the other members for their work.
