A Nigerian woman has shared a video online saying police officers in Victoria Island, Lagos, harassed and handcuffed her, then collected more than N300,000 from her.

In the video, she is seen crying by the roadside at night as she tells her story.

She said she was coming from the beach when officers stopped and arrested her.

She claimed she was handcuffed and later dropped off in Victoria Island.

She said she tried to record the incident but the video did not save.

She also said she had to borrow money and asked friends to send N20,000 each, but none of them helped.

She said only her mother, with whom she has had problems, sent her money.

The police have not yet responded to the allegations.
