Nigerian singer Lojay says family doubted him when he decided to become a musician.
In a recent livestream with content creator Gilmore, the "Monalisa" hitmaker said a wealthy and influential uncle, now in politics, told him he would never blow up in music.
He did not name the uncle.
Lojay said he used the doubt as motivation and is glad his hard work has paid off.
He urged fans not to let naysayers stop them from chasing their dreams.
