Kenneth Okonkwo, an ADC chieftain, has condemned an attack on NDC supporters in Enugu State.

He spoke in a post on his social media account.

The supporters had gone to welcome their governorship candidate, Chinyeaka Oha, at Akanu Ibiam International Airport.

Unknown thugs disrupted the gathering, and one person died.

Okonkwo blamed political thugs he said were sponsored by the APC.

He said the attack shows how desperate the party is to hold power in 2027.

He urged the security agencies to investigate, arrest the culprits and punish them.

He also called on Nigerians, especially Enugu indigenes, to stand up against electoral violence so that everyone can vote and votes can count.

"Hold attackers accountable or face anarchy," he said.
