President Bola Tinubu has drawn mockery after appearing to refer to himself as a governor at the inauguration of the APC presidential campaign council in Abuja on Wednesday.
Speaking about his bid for another four year term, he said the campaign would bring "Governor Bola Tinubu back for a second time."
Online reactions were mixed and often mocking.
Some users said the slip showed he was struggling, and others pointed to his past as Lagos governor.
Some said the mistake was a sign of memory or health problems, while others said it was a repeat of how he campaigned in 2023.
Some criticised the economy and the cost of living, and others said his speech was full of errors while Peter Obi had spoken for two hours on online without a single slip.
Unbelievable video showing Nigerians in shock as President Tinubu calls himself a “Governor.”🤣 https://t.co/GCscdMkWVg
