Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine will start hitting Russian oil refineries again.
In an interview published online on Thursday, his tone towards US President Donald Trump was noticeably more defiant.
Trump recently announced an "energy ceasefire" that was never publicly confirmed, and Russia kept striking Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
After a fresh wave of Russian attacks on Wednesday, Zelensky said: "The block is out. We're done."
Ukraine had paused its refinery strikes for several days after Trump criticised them and pushed for an end to them.
Zelensky said that despite the pause, Ukraine's access to key U.S. military capabilities and intelligence was restricted.
He said the slowdown of Starshield, the satellite network built on Starlink, "was not a technical problem; it was the will."
He also warned that cutting off intelligence sharing would be "dangerous," since Kyiv relies on early warnings to protect its cities from Russian air attacks.
Zelensky also commented on Trump's attitude towards Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He said Trump openly says he loves and respects strong leaders who stay in power for decades.
Russia said on Thursday that Ukraine had attacked an oil refinery in Ryazan, south of Moscow.
