Aminu Dabo, a former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, has left the All Progressives Congress.

He was chairman of the party's caucus in Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State.

In a letter dated October 7, 2026, addressed to the chairman of Dambatta Gabas Ward, he said he made the decision after careful thought about personal reasons and his future plans.

He has sent the letter to party officials in Dambatta.

Dabo thanked the APC for the chance to serve and for the trust placed in him.

He once ran for governor of Kano State and previously served as Commissioner for Lands in the state.
