The First Niger Bridge, which links Onitsha in Anambra State with Asaba in Delta State, has been decorated with pictures of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
It is due to reopen on Thursday after weeks of repair work.
Works Minister Dave Umahi is expected to perform the reopening.
An online news report observed that the repairs were complete, although painters were still finishing some railings.
The road markings have been repainted, and CCTV cameras, bolts and expansion joints have been installed or fixed.
Captions on the photos read "A road under strain before, To a road built for progress," "From challenges to prosperity" and "Hope connecting regions let the good works continue."
APC campaign posters and banners were also visible at several points.
Umahi had earlier ordered that Tinubu's pictures be displayed to thank the President for his work in the South East.
He also said illegal adverts should be removed once the work is done.
Federal Controller of Works Timothy Emenike said the main repairs, including tarring, repainting, and fixing bolts and expansion joints, are finished.
The bridge was closed from September 7 to September 21 after vandalised steel expansion joints were found. Heavy rain and other problems pushed the reopening back.
Security personnel were deployed around the bridge, and some roads leading to it were barricaded while officials and residents waited for the minister.
