The Lagos Waste Management Authority is asking residents to report illegal waste dumping.
In an advisory posted on its official handle on Friday, it said dumping blocks drains, worsens flooding during rains and spreads disease.
"A cleaner Lagos starts with all of us," it said.
Residents can report cases through the toll free lines 08000052962 or 07080601020.
When reporting, they should give the exact location, the time and any useful details, such as a vehicle description or photos.
LAWMA recorded 1,023 illegal dumping and non-compliance cases in 2025.
Of these, 447 were referred for legal action.
Most dumping happens between midnight and early morning.
Residential waste, construction debris and hazardous waste are among the most common materials dumped.
Managing Director Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin has urged residents to use registered Private Sector Participation operators for waste collection and to avoid dumping in drains, road medians or open spaces.
Complaints can also be sent by email to info@lawma.gov.ng.
