NDC vice-presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has disagreed with Vice President Kashim Shettima's criticism of Peter Obi.
Shettima had attacked Obi's use of economic statistics and his comparisons with other countries, especially Bangladesh, at the APC campaign council inauguration on Wednesday.
Speaking on a TV programme on Thursday, Kwankwaso said most of the figures Obi uses are accurate.
He said he has listened to Obi's arguments and checked the numbers himself.
He acknowledged that people sometimes make mistakes, but said Shettima's description of Obi was unfair.
Kwankwaso said Obi's knowledge of development indicators across Nigeria, Europe, Asia and other regions is a strength for a presidential candidate.
He also said their shared vision for the country is why they agreed to work together under the NDC, with the aim of building a stronger party and a stronger Nigeria.
