A fresh warning about Nigerian girls travelling overseas has sparked discussion, with Titi Atiku Abubakar revealing what international partners want to see change.

Chief Titi Atiku Abubakar, wife of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, says some Nigerian girls have become a problem in other countries.
She made the remark at Abuja on Thursday during the presentation of a review of the 2025 US trafficking report by NACTAL, a network that fights child trafficking, abuse and labour.
She said this is one reason international partners are backing Nigeria's anti trafficking work.
They want girls to stay home and build their lives here instead of leaving and becoming a burden abroad.
She added that the partners are supporting the girls directly too.
She also said NACTAL cannot fight trafficking alone, so it needs many more civil society groups on board.
The network works with about 286 of them.
Abdulganiu Abubakar, NACTAL's immediate past president, said the U.S. report did not give enough credit to the work of the Nigerian government, development partners and civil society groups.
He said about 10 NAPTIP shelters have been refurbished with partner help, but the report did not mention this.
He admitted the country still has problems.
Funding is weak, political will is low and high profile cases are often poorly prosecuted.
He urged the government to put more money into the agencies that fight trafficking.
NACTAL's new president, Osita Osemene, plans to grow the network from about 286 groups to 500 in three months and 1,000 within a year.
He also promised more training for civil society workers.
He said the fight against trafficking is everyone's job and should not be left to foreign partners alone.
