Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan wants voters to look closely at what candidates have done before they vote in 2027.
She spoke to reporters in Abuja on Sunday and said leaders should be judged on their results and how they served.
Most of the people running have held office before, she said, so voters now have a chance to measure them by what they actually delivered.
She listed what she has done in Kogi Central.
These include roads, clean water projects, school blocks, scholarships, digital learning tools, health facilities, markets for women and solar streetlights.
She also said that from 2027 to 2031 she plans to build on those gains and push development further in the district.
Her comments came after former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello said he is sure he will beat her.
Speaking in an online interview, he said the election on January 16, 2027 will settle the matter.
He predicted a big win for himself and the APC.
