NAFDAC says its officials have found a suspected fake alcoholic drinks factory in Abia State.
The team acted on solid information and found the place running in dirty conditions.
The operator ran away as soon as they arrived and left a vehicle behind.
Inside the vehicle were packaging materials with the names Sir Edwards Scotch Whisky and Scottish Hills Whisky.
There were also empty bottles and a drum with about 200 litres of liquid.
At the factory, the team found bottle caps, sealing machines, cartons, empty bottles, tanks of mixed liquids and dirty sieves.
They also found buckets and drums of ethanol, along with tree bark soaking in ethanol.
NAFDAC says the equipment and materials seized are worth more than 500 million naira.
