Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, paid a visit to Costa Rican President Laura Fernández while in the country for the National Crusade of Hope.
His wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, went with him.
He said they were warmly received at the presidency.
He described the visit as a chance to build relationships and talk about faith, hope, peace and changing lives.
In a post on social media on Tuesday, Adeboye said the gospel does not stop at borders, languages or cultures.
He prayed that God would bring peace and healing to Costa Rica and its people.
The visit was part of the crusade held at the National Stadium in San José on October 17.
The event was organised by the RCCG and the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation, and it also featured the music groups Tercer Cielo and Averly Morillo.
