Media presenter Rufai Oseni has hit back at President Bola Tinubu over his latest comment on fuel subsidy.

On Monday, Tinubu said Nigeria will not go back to subsidy and brushed aside opposition promises to bring it back.

Speaking on an online morning show, Rufai said Egypt has steady power and good roads.

He asked whether Tinubu knows that Egypt scores higher than Nigeria on human development.

He said Egypt produces over 63,000 megawatts of electricity and that its people have full access to power.

He also said Egypt spends 2.5 per cent of its GDP on education, while Nigeria spends about 0.5 per cent.

He said there is no fair way to compare the two countries when it comes to living conditions.

He then asked why anyone would not prefer to live in a country where electricity works.
