A brief reaction on a podcast has stirred fresh drama between two Nollywood actresses with a history of public clashes.

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has apologised to fellow actress Laide Bakare.
The apology came after a clip of Badmus on a podcast went viral. In the clip, the host called Bakare one of his favourite actresses, and Badmus hissed and changed her facial expression.
In an online post on Tuesday, Badmus said her reaction could have looked dismissive, and she was sorry for that.
She said that whatever their differences, she chooses peace and wishes Bakare well.
She also said that growing up means knowing when to let go and move on.
She ended her post by asking for no negativity and no grudges.
The two actresses have a long history of public clashes. In 2024, Badmus seemed to mock Bakare's outfit at her book launch in a post that many people read as a dig.
Bakare later said she was hurt, since she saw Badmus as a childhood friend from their days at the University of Ibadan.
