Former INEC commissioner Mike Igini says politicians are getting fake people onto the NYSC list.

He claims they then give these fake corps members NYSC uniforms and send them to work as polling officials on election day.

He wants the NYSC system to go digital to stop this before the 2027 polls.

Igini said technology is the answer, adding that any organisation that refuses to embrace it risks falling into chaos or decline.

He also told Nigerians that they have more power than they may think.

Each polling unit normally has only four officials, and voters usually outnumber them.

Nigeria has 176,846 polling units in total.

He pointed to his own record.

In August 2014 he supervised the governorship election in Ife South, Osun State, and says his team shut down the tricks being used to rig it.
