Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has praised President Bola Tinubu for putting big road projects first.
He spoke on Wednesday while standing in for the President at the commissioning of Section III of the Abuja Kaduna Zaria Kano Expressway.
Yusuf said good roads connect communities, help goods and people move, and make business easier.
He said the Kano to Zaria route matters a lot because Kano is a major trade and industry hub for many northern states.
He added that better roads will help farmers reach markets and give traders and transport workers more chances to earn.
He asked the federal and state governments to keep working together to meet the region's infrastructure needs.
