Soldiers from Operation Fansan Yamma have freed four people who were kidnapped in Zamfara and Kebbi states.

The rescues happened on Wednesday in two separate operations.

Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, spokesman for the 8 Division, said the soldiers found two victims on a farm in Binoni Marafa, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

They are Mansur Shehu, 25, and Kadijat Haruna, 49.

In Kebbi State, troops freed two more people between Bena and Sawade.

They are Jimoh Su Arege, 35, and Kalahe Danjuma, 41.

Reports said terrorists were moving them from Dipindu village in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area when the soldiers moved in.
