A road accident in Kano has left two people dead and others injured.

Two people died in a road crash on the Kano-Zaria Road at Dangi Underpass, the Federal Road Safety Corps Kano Sector Command has confirmed.
The accident happened at about 5.50pm on Tuesday and involved four men in two vehicles.
The crash was between a fully loaded Howo tipper truck carrying bitumen and a Mercedes-Benz C180.
Early reports say the truck's brakes failed, so the driver lost control.
The truck slid backwards and hit the vehicle behind it.
FRSC rescue teams and other responders took the injured to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
Kano Sector Commander Idris Lawal offered condolences to the families.
He urged drivers, transport unions and fleet owners to maintain their vehicles, especially brakes and tyres, and to drive defensively with safe following distances.
