A senior aide to Atiku Abubakar has thrown out an unusual challenge, offering millions of naira to any Nigerian who can prove they named their child after President Tinubu since he took office.

Phrank Shaibu, a senior aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has offered 5 million naira to any Nigerian who can prove they named a child Tinubu since the president took office on May 29, 2023.
He made the offer on Monday, October 26, 2026, during a live show on RBN's The Morning Edition.
He said a leader who has truly won people's respect should inspire them to name their children after him.
To claim the money, a parent would need to show a birth certificate dated between May 29, 2023 and now.
Shaibu added that he thinks it is impossible for anyone to meet the condition, and he asked the public to share the challenge on social media.
