Parents of a little 5-year-old girl has been left distraught after a man dragged their daughter inside an abandoned jeep and forcefully had s*x with her.
A randy 33-year-old man, Nweke Monday, has been arrested by the police in Ebonyi State for allegedly defiling a 5-year-old girl in Amuzu Amuda Community, Ezza North Local Government Area of the state.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP George Okafor who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, said the matter was reported to the police by the youth president of the community, Uchechi Elechi.
He said the youth president reported that Nweke Monday lured the 5-year-old, Christiana (surname withheld) to an abandoned Isuzu Jeep where he forcefully had s*x with her.
The little girl was rushed to a hospital in Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state to save her life. However, the girl’s parents have refused to officially report the matter to the police which prompted the youth leader to act.
“The youth president decided to bring the matter to the fore, though the parents of the child may be afraid of the stigma, but the culprit that committed this heinous dastardly act will never go unpunished no matter how long he runs, the law must catch him,” Okafor said.
