The FCT Minister Nyesom Wike stated that residents have decided to vote Senator Ireti Kingibe out in 2027.

Speaking at a project commissioning in Abuja on Monday, he said the people are tired of her.

Wike said "we have decided to tell Ireti Kingibe bye-bye.

Don't abuse her o, just say sister, aunty bye-bye," he said.

Wike and Kingibe have been at odds since 2023.

He accuses her of playing politics instead of working for residents.

Kingibe was elected on the Labour Party ticket in 2023 but has since joined the ADC.

Wike said she will not return to the Senate and that she has not brought any projects to the FCT.

He also said she spent her time attacking him on social media and television instead of working with him on Abuja's development.

Kingibe had not responded to the remarks when this report was filed.
